Then Yellow Jacket and his team make a startling discovery - and must launch themselves into space where they confront the power-mad Monarch of the Moon! From Dark Horse Entertainment, Monarch of the Moon is an outrageous, special effects-loaded tribute to the '40s and '50s serial films.

Leonard Maltin "Monarch of the Moon is the movie Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow wanted to be. That film had all the production design and star-power money could buy, but it was dramatically inert. This engaging parody had me smiling appreciatively from start to finish—and even laughing out loud."

Kimberly Page loved working for Richard Lowry who directed the film Monarch of the Moon. She says the movie is different and a lot of fun. It's a spoof on the 1940's serials like Flash Gordon. Her costumes are so creative that you may or may not even realize it is her playing the lead villain.

Remember the story from a few days ago about the "long lost WWII" sci-fi flick Monarch of the Moon? The film, if you recall, had been annouced and known as a parody/spoof for quite a number of months, but an amusingly well done press conference at Wonder Con managed to scam several news sources into confusion about the origins of the project.
